FIELD: video surveillance systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of video surveillance, in particular to the processing of video information from security cameras to monitor moving objects in real time or when viewing archive video. System for tracking moving objects on a video image is proposed, which comprises: a plurality of image pickup devices, a storage device, an image display device, a data input device, a plurality of data processing devices configured to perform binding of a plurality of image pickup devices to a terrain plan, displaying a video image from a first image pickup device, choosing moving object in the tracking of which the operator is interested, recognizing movement of the selected moving object, and selecting it on the video image as an area of interest, estimating the direction of motion of the selected moving object, predicting a second image pickup device, displaying a video image from the second image pickup device on the image display device.
EFFECT: technical result is improved accuracy of tracking moving objects.
