FIELD: veterinary science.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary medicine, namely to surgery, and can be used for determination of depth and direction of wound motions and wound volume. For this purpose, a paramagnetic non-ionic agent in amount of 0.3–0.5 ml/cm2 is introduced into the wound cavity as a contrast agent. Further, the wound size is determined using electrophysical phenomena of nuclear magnetic resonance.

EFFECT: method provides higher accuracy of determining dimensions of wound passages with elimination of use of measuring instruments.
