FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical and radio engineering, particularly to manufacturing of precision foil resistors, and can be used in production of wide-range resistors. Foil resistor includes a dielectric substrate, a resistive foil attached thereto, electrical terminals, a plastic housing and a buffer layer between the foil and the inner surface of the housing, wherein substrate material used is high-heat conducting ceramics, and buffer layer is made in form of air gap, or in form of layer of elastic sealant.
EFFECT: high stability of resistance during prolonged operation in thermal cycles.
