FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radio engineering, in particular to attenuators of microwave signals. A powerful microwave attenuator contains a radiator housing with coaxial connectors at the input and output and chains of planar film resistors on ceramic strip boards, while the ceramic strip boards are electrically connected to each other by cascading flexible jumpers and mechanically fixed in the inner channel of the radiator housing through spring contacts that provide both electrical and thermal contact with the radiator housing. The fastening of ceramic strip boards in the radiator housing is made using spring heat and electrically conductive damping contacts in the form of a U-shaped profile with wave-like surfaces, as well as transitions from coaxial connectors to a ceramic strip board with spring contacts. This ensures an increase in the reliability of the design with significant temperature changes during operation of the attenuator and makes it possible to design devices with a wide range of dissipated power.
EFFECT: increase in the operating frequency range, ensuring effective thermal compensation.
