FIELD: control systems.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a control unit for a vehicle. Vehicle control unit for object detection and tracking is configured to detect an object, which is outside of the default coverage area of the device, intended for displaying an image or image stream of objects outside the line of sight of the driver, based on signals captured by the sensor received from it, generating control signals for tracking the detected object by the sensor and redirecting the sensor from the default coverage area to the area in which the object is located, and displaying the representation of the detected object in said device, wherein said representation is an overview of the redirected sensor.
EFFECT: higher road safety due to tracking of object located in blind zone of rear-view mirror.
