FIELD: clocks and other time meters.

SUBSTANCE: clock (1000) with stroke mechanism (100) comprising ratchet wheel (2) interacting with a stroke actuation pawl (3) controlled by clock mechanism (500) or driven by a user with reheat pawl (4), disengaging lever (6) preventing access of said pawls (3; 4) to said ratchet wheel (2) under action of reversing lever (7) actuated by rod (8) of arrows installation, or main control element (10) for selection of function stroke or melody, or break mechanism, and a safety device for preventing starting when stroke mode is already in effect or selecting a melody, which serves to prevent start of any stroke function by said clock mechanism (500) or user and which contains start-up prevention lever (20), turning of which upon actuation of said main control element (10) causes both pawls (3; 4) to move away from of said ratchet wheel (2).
