SUBSTANCE: invention relates to striking mechanisms for clocks or music boxes. Disclosed is switch-off mechanism (5) for clock striker (100), comprising energy storage means, including power reserve transfer unit (35), movable striker assembly (2) comprising ratchet wheel (22), main pawl (85) for performing the striking function and/or minute repeater release pawl (40), wherein switch-off mechanism (5) comprises disconnecting lever (55) serving to move pawls (85; 40) aside from movable breaker assembly (2) by instantaneous movement of lever (17) changing the position of disconnecting lever (55), when the level of available energy in the storage means goes beyond the predetermined limit, by interaction of cam (30) driven by movable power reserve transfer unit (35) with switch (36) returned by first spring (38) so that cam (30) rests against yoke (19) of lever (17), to make it make a sharp turn, instantly changing the position of protrusion (179) relative to second spring (39).
EFFECT: invention allows optimizing the design and operation of the switching-off mechanism for the clock striking mechanism, as well as improving the safety of the clock operation.
