FIELD: metal forming.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used in production of titanium aluminide gas turbine engine blade. At step (E1), a titanium aluminide billet is formed by spraying the powder. At step (E2), the bar is forced through a draw plate hole having a main slot and at least one side slot. Produced blank is made, having billet shape with cross-section, having main branch and at least one lateral branch, which is substantially perpendicular to main branch. At step (E3), the pressed mold is cross-sectioned to produce sections of the pressed billet. At step (E4), each section of pressed bar is subjected to forging to produce gas turbine engine blade. Prior to step (E2), the bar is coated with a shell which is removed before step (E4) of forging.
EFFECT: as a result, higher resistance of the blade to mechanical stresses occurring during its operation.
