FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: intermediate detonator from emulsion explosive composition (VS) relates to mining industry in the part of intermediate detonators (ID) manufacturing and is intended for initiation of well charges of granulated and emulsion industrial explosives in dry and flooded conditions at open and underground mining operations. Intermediate detonator consists of cartridge with emulsion aircraft, small-sized intermediate detonator (ID) sensitive to primary initiation facilities and capable to excite detonation of emulsion aircraft and initiating device (device of non-electrical initiation system (ISI) ISKRA-S, ISKRA-III or electric detonator) inserted in intermediate detonator. Charge of small ID with weight from 10 to 100 g is made of plastic, cast or loose explosive, and its housing is made of cartridge A or thermoplastic material (polyethylene). Small ID with the initiation device inserted into it is fixed outside the cartridge with the emulsion ID by means of disposable cable ties in an amount of at least two pieces made of polymer material or an intermediate detonator fixture device made of thermoplastic material (polyethylene). Housing of small ID attachment to holder with emulsion ID is made of thermoplastic material, for example, polyethylene in form of hollow cylinder having inner transverse partition with hole in centre, inner transverse partition is located from the end of the cylindrical body at a distance of not less than 10 mm, in the wall along the body of the small-size ID attachment device along its entire length there is a longitudinal cut out, which is connected to the hole in the centre of the inner transverse partition, protrusions with openings are located on the opposite side from the cut-out outside along the body to accommodate disposable cable ties in an amount of at least two pieces. Housing of small ID attachment to holder with emulsion ID is made of thermoplastic material, for example, polyethylene in form of hollow cylinder with inside crosswise partition wall with hole in centre and cylindrical seat for placement of small ID, located in side wall for entire length of housing, cavity of seat for arrangement of small ID is connected to cavity for arrangement of cartridge with emulsion aircraft, inner transverse partition is located at a distance of at least 10 mm from the end of the cylindrical housing from the same end in the housing opposite to the cylindrical seat for accommodating the small ID has a slot for placing the shock wave tube (SWT) or wires of the electric detonator, and from the opposite end of the outside of the housing opposite the groove for accommodating the small ID there is a holder for fixing the SWT or wires of the electric detonator.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at improving reliability of initiation of industrial emulsion explosives, improving convenience and safety, quality and efficiency of blasting operations and enlarging its application.
