FIELD: electrical equipment; technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of electrotechnical articles from powder compositions based on carbon. Method involves grinding graphite powder, mixing it with formaldehyde novolac resin, holding the obtained composition in a die of the mold and final pressing. Grinding of graphite powder is performed to obtain three fractions: 10–24 mcm in amount of 21–22 vol%, 90–120 mcm in amount of 37–38 vol%, 210–500 mcm in amount of 40–42 vol%. After mixing obtained graphite fractions with formaldehyde novolac resin, obtained composition is held for 2–3 hours at temperature of 50–70 °C, and at the end of exposure to the composition a vibration exposure is applied for 1.0–1.5 minutes with frequency of 90–180 Hz and oscillation amplitude of 0.5–2.0 mm.
EFFECT: higher density and reduced electrical resistance of articles.
