SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing a product containing methanol, comprising the following steps: (i) producing a first stream of synthesis gas, in which the module is greater than 2.0, in a methane steam reforming unit (SMR) or in a steam methane reformer, and then in an autothermal reforming unit by reforming a first hydrocarbon feed stream and steam in the presence of a catalyst; (ii) producing a second synthesis gas stream, in which the module is less than the first synthesis gas stream modulus, through partial oxidation or autothermal reforming of the second hydrocarbon feed stream; (iii) combining a first synthetic gas stream and a second syngas stream to form a combined synthetic gas stream; (iv) converting the combined stream of produced synthesis gas in a methanol synthesis reactor into a product containing methanol, and (v) partial recycling of excess hydrogen and methane leaks, which are formed during synthesis of the composition of products, into a steam reformer of methane. Invention also relates to a method of increasing output of methanol at an existing plant producing a product containing methanol.
EFFECT: proposed invention allows to optimize efficiency and efficiency of methanol synthesis process.
