FIELD: microbiology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bacteriology. Disclosed is a strain of Salmonella enterica sbsp. enterica serovar Typhi B-8453, characterized by low level resistance to fluoroquinolones caused by a mutation in chromosomal gene gyrA of Ser83Tyr type. Presented strain is deposited in the State collection of pathogenic microorganisms and cell cultures "GKPM-Obolensk" under registration number B-8453. Strain can be used as a control strain for phenotypic (detection of resistance of low level to fluoroquinolones) and molecular (detection of a mutation in gene gyrA of Ser83Tyr type) of researches at diagnostics of typhoid fever.
EFFECT: disclosed is a strain of bacteria Calmonella enterica subspecies enterica serovar Typhi B-8453 with low level resistance to fluoroquinolones, used as a control strain for phenotypic and molecular studies in diagnosing typhoid fever.
