FIELD: microbiology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microbiology, in particular to bacteriology. Strain Escherichia coli O144:H45, characterized by the absence of genes coding pathogenicity factors specific for Shigella spp. and enteroinvasive E. coli (EIEC) – plasmid (ipaH) and chromosomal (ial) invasiveness genes, is deposited in State Collection of Pathogenic Microorganisms and Cell Cultures "GKPM-Obolensk" under number B-8656. Escherichia coli O144:H45 strain can be used as a reference strain for phenotypic and molecular studies of Esherichia of the O144 serum group.
EFFECT: invention provides identification of Escherichia coli strains.
