SUBSTANCE: invention represents a strain of Escherichia coli serovar O164:H-B-11809, characterized by presence of genes coding synthesis of O-antigen 164 (wzy164, wzx164), responsible for invasion: ipaH, ipaD; enterotoxin senB production; homologue of Shigella IgA – sigA protease and a virulence transcription regulator – virF. Strain is characterized by absence of fliC gene responsible for synthesis of H-antigen; belongs to sequence type ST270. Strain is deposited in the State collection of pathogenic microorganisms and cell cultures "GKPM-Obolensk".

EFFECT: disclosed strain can be used as a control test strain when detecting enteroinvasive Escherichia coli (EIEC); control test strain for O164 antigen indication by molecular method (detection of genes wzy164, wzx164); for comparative study of genetic relationship and differentiation of EIEC strains causing acute intestinal infections.
