FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of iron-based composite material reinforced with oxides of metals. Method includes mechanical alloying of mixture consisting of powder of low-stability at deformation of iron oxide in form of Fe2O3 or Fe3O4 and alloyed steel powder, and subsequent annealing. As alloyed steel powder there used is nanopowder of steel alloyed with tungsten nanooxides and heat-resistant nanooxides of yttrium and/or titanium. Mechanical doping of the mixture is carried out by intensive cold deformation by shearing in a ball mill at a rotor speed of mill to 3,000 rpm, filled with metal balls with diameter of 1–2 mm.

EFFECT: enabling increase in strength characteristics of composite material by 20–30 %.
