FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: mixture of powders of metals is subjected to mechanical alloying in atmosphere of nitrogen. Ratio of weight of metal powder mixture and milling balls amounts to 1:30. Upon mechanical alloying mixture of metal powder is roasted in protective or reducing atmosphere at 400-600°C. 2-4 % of nano dimension powder of nickel is added into roasted mixture and mixed. Further, prepared charge is pressed in a mould and is sintered in nitrogen containing atmosphere at temperature 1100-1300°C.

EFFECT: activation of sintering, reduced time for mechanical alloying, facilitation of high density, strength and wear and corrosion resistance of steel.
