FIELD: pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry, namely to production of biologically active substances possessing pronounced antioxidant and immunomodulatory properties. Method for micronization of fucoidan contained in a biologically active food additive based on sea brown algae in an amount of not less than 60 wt%, due to ultrasonic treatment, according to the invention is characterized by the fact that the biologically active additive is dissolved in distilled water, then performing ultrasonic treatment with mechanical oscillation frequency 20±2.0 kHz, radiation intensity 10 W/cm2, with power of 240–630 W/l for 20–30 minutes at temperature of 50±5 °C.
EFFECT: higher degree of bioavailability and antioxidant activity of fucoidan by fine dispersion of particles of said polysaccharide.
