FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed are a food preparation device and a top cover assembly for this device. Upper cover assembly comprises a support part, a face plate supported on the support part, a front cover located on the front plate. Front cover limits the hole through which the part of the front plate is visible. Face cover closes the edge of the side of the face plate facing away from the support part, wherein the support part comprises an inner cover provided with a support post configured to support the face plate, and a display unit located on the inner cover. Face cover closes the inner cover. Face plate is located on inner side of front cover and covers said hole, wherein at least part of display unit is located below face plate, wherein display unit is arranged so that it faces upward towards face plate for displaying information. Display unit is provided with a first latch hook extending upward, wherein there are a plurality of first latching hooks spaced apart from each other in the circumferential direction of the face plate, wherein engaging part of first snap hook extending in front plate direction is engaged with top surface of face plate.

EFFECT: technical result of invention is higher safety and reliability during operation.
