FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to electric engineering, to measuring current transformers, and can be used in means of emergency control of power systems, relay protection, measurement, recording of emergency events. Method of filtering current of magnetization and reproduction of primary currents of current transformers includes composition of system of nonlinear equations, reflecting real electromagnetic physical processes in transformer, selection of measuring transducers for connection to a power system and for organization of a closed computer system operating in real time, at the output of which voltages are generated, which are proportional to components of magnetization current and reproduced primary current, in analogue or digital form, the output information is visualized and the computing process is further controlled by monitoring reproduction errors.

EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of error of filtration of magnetization current and reproduction of primary currents in non-stationary and stationary modes due to implementation of characteristics of magnetization of current transformers with allowance for hysteresis, broader functional capabilities for practical use and research purposes of different directions.
