SUBSTANCE: invention refers to pharmaceutical industry, namely to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating thyroid hypothyreosis. Pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating hypothyreosis of thyroid gland in tablet form, comprising white cinquefoil and target additives, wherein the white cinquefoil is used in the form of a dry extract of a white cinquefoil, which is made by grinding 3–5-year-old cultivated roots and rhizomes with a degree of grinding of 3–5 mm, triple extraction with 40 % ethyl alcohol while heating 65–70 °C and continuous stirring, hydromodulus 1:15, concentration, extraction and drying at temperature not higher than 60 °C, and target additives are calcium stearate, croscarmellose, microcrystalline cellulose and lactose monohydrate taken in certain amounts.

EFFECT: disclosed composition is safe and effective for preventing and treating thyroid hypothyreosis.
