FIELD: hygiene.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is an absorbent article which enables the user to obtain a comfortable feeling with respect to the absorbency while providing ease of carrying in a compact state. Absorbing article 1 has absorbing component 30, upper sheet 10 located on side facing skin surface of absorbent component, rear sheet 20 located on side not facing skin surface of absorbent component, wherein the first fold line FL1 and the second fold line FL2 for folding the absorbent article are formed along the longitudinal direction. Upper sheet has bent portion 11 bent along bending line 12 on both sides in width direction. Bending line is located outside in the width direction relative to the absorbent component outer side edge. End 11E of bent part is located inside in direction of width relative to outer side edge of absorbing component. First fold line and second fold line are located outside in width direction relative to bending line. Bent part is not attached to the rear sheet in the entire area between the bending line and the outer side edge of the absorbent component.
EFFECT: disclosed is an absorbent article which enables the user to obtain a comfortable feeling with respect to the absorbency while providing ease of carrying in a compact state.
