FIELD: water and air purification technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to purification of phosphorus-containing wastewater and can be used for cleaning city effluents and effluents of food industry enterprises, as well as livestock and poultry farms with their subsequent discharge into water body. Method involves removal of phosphorus from waste water (1) of inner-site sewage of sewage treatment facilities by mechanical, biological and physical-chemical purification. At the stage of physical-chemical treatment of waste water (1) with phosphate concentration of 60–120 mg/l by PO43- introducing sodium hydroxide in an amount which increases pH to 10.5–11, and for acceleration of crystallization process of hardly soluble orthophosphoric acid salt air is supplied in amount of 1–2 m3 at 1 m3 waste water.

EFFECT: reduced concentration of phosphates in high-concentration waste water of inner-site sewage of sewage treatment facilities, reduction of the amount of chemical residue, as well as reduction of operational costs for sediment placement at a specialized landfill, since formed chemical residue can be used as organomineral fertilizer.
