ULTRASOUND DIAGNOSIS OF CARDIAC FUNCTION BY SEGMENTATION OF A CHAMBER WITH ONE DEGREE OF FREEDOM Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B8/00 A61B8/08 G06T7/00

Abstract RU 2708317 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to an ultrasonic diagnostic imaging system for determining a heart chamber boundary in an ultrasonic image. System comprises a cardiac image data source, a boundary detection processor responsive to cardiac image data and configured to identify, at least internal and external boundaries of the myocardium in the cardiac image data, user control means configured to allow the user to indicate a user-defined cardiac chamber boundary relative to the inner and outer boundaries, and a camera boundary drawing device associated with the user control means and the boundary detection processor, wherein the boundary drawing device is configured to determine the location of the user defined cardiac chamber boundary in the cardiac image data relative to at least one of the boundaries identified by the boundary detection processor, user control means is further configured to control a variable with one degree of freedom, calibrated as a percentage, to determine the location of the user-defined cardiac chamber boundary relative to the inner boundary, and wherein the variable with one degree of freedom connects the user-defined boundary of the cardiac chamber relative to the inner boundary and the distance from the outer boundary to the inner boundary, wherein displacement of user-defined cardiac chamber boundary relative to inner boundary is measured along direction orthogonal to inner boundary.

EFFECT: using the invention enables to obtain an automated instrument for outlining the contour of the acceptable cardiac chamber boundary.
