FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. A system comprises a probe transferring ultrasound waves into heart and receiving echo signals in response, an image processor forming a sequence of myocardial image frames in response on the echo signals for at least a part of a cardiac cycle, a device for contouring a myocardial wall thickness which contours a distance between an endocardium and an epicardium in the myocardium in each image frame of the sequence by using an image tracing device which traces the contoured distance between the frames for said part of said cardiac cycle, and a wall thickness analysis forming a graphic wall thickness curve of continuous change of the myocardial wall thickness in response on the contoured distances for said part of said cardiac cycle.
EFFECT: use of the system enables tracing the changed wall thickness in the cardiac cycle as the changed distance between the endocardium and the epicardium.
