FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to ultrasonic diagnostic imaging systems for determination of a heart chamber boundary on an ultrasonic image. System comprises a heart image data source, a boundary detection processor responsive to heart image data which comprises a deformable heart model adapted to identify at least internal and external boundary lines of the myocardium in cardiac image data, user control element adapted to enable the user to indicate a user-defined cardiac boundary with respect to the identified inner and outer boundary lines, and a camera boundary drawing means connected to the user control element and the boundary detection processor, wherein the camera boundary drawing means is configured to position the user defined cardiac boundary in the heart image data relative to at least one of the boundary lines identified by the boundary detection processor, wherein the deformable heart model is further adapted for the initial cardiac location in the heart image data, determining the cardiac orientation in the heart image data, deformation in connection with affine transformations and identification of one of internal and external boundary line of myocardium to identification of another boundary line of myocardium in cardiac image data.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to draw a boundary of a cardiac chamber standardized, with possibility of comparison and providing repeatability of results for different users.
