FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a switching device comprising at least one contact point, an arc control chamber related to said contact point and a magnetic arc blowing device related to said contact point. Arc control chamber has an outlet hole through which the plasma generated inside the switching device by development of the switching arc at opening of the contact point can leave the switching device, the outlet hole has size of a lumen and sets an output plane. Magnetic blowing device is configured to generate a blast magnetic field, by means of which development of the switching arc at opening of the contact point is blown from the contact point to the specified outlet hole. Also, the switching device comprises at least one first arc guide plate, which extends from the contact point to the outlet opening and through which the switching arc is directed and stretched on the path from the contact point to the outlet, first arc directing plate comprises a first portion and a second portion in the arc control chamber between the contact point and the output plane, the first portion of the first arc guide plate is located near the contact point, and second part of first ark guide plate is located remotely from contact point. Second portion of the first arc guide plate extends beyond the outlet in a direction parallel to the outlet plane such that the commutation arc is stretched by the second portion of the first plate to guide the arc at least at one of its ends greater than the size of the opening clearance, at that, arc guiding rod projecting from second part of first plate for arcing is located ahead of said outlet. By means of said arc guiding rod the switching arc is shortened again before outlet.
EFFECT: reliable controlling of switching arc.
