FIELD: machine building; test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of testing and technical diagnosis of machines, in particular to a method for determining the effective power of an internal combustion engine. Essence of the invention consists in the following. When conducting non-brake tests of the motor by means of a measuring instrument, the force transmitted to the vehicle frame through the supports during the acceleration of the engine from the minimum to the maximum value is fixed. Effective power is determined from the average value of the force transmitted by the motor to the frame of the vehicle: in the initial test, the function of the effective power of the engine is analytically found from the measured force transmitted by the motor to the frame of the vehicle, in subsequent engine tests, the average value of the force transmitted to the vehicle frame is measured and, using the dependence obtained earlier, the effective power of the engine is determined. Thus, it is possible to create a fairly simple method for determining the effective power of an internal combustion engine based on non-braking tests.
EFFECT: technical result is a reduction in labor intensity and an increase in the speed of diagnosis.
