SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an information medium for use in a large number of users and possessing antiviral properties. Said carrier contains 0.1 wt. % to 2 wt. % per dry substance with respect to total weight of said data carrier, at least one antiviral substance of natural origin, which is monolaurin, and at least one humectant, which is glycerin. Said carrier is a passport, an identity card, a driving license, a pass, a discount card, a photocopy card, a food stamp, a playing card, a collectible card, a payment device, ticket for cultural or sports events, certificate of authenticity, or also packaging, book, geographic map, label, envelope or magazine. To produce said information carrier, carrier bases are brought into contact in the presence of at least one humidifier with said antiviral substance of natural origin under conditions favourable for inclusion of said substance in said carrier. In another embodiment, in production of said information carrier, monolaurin is synthesized in situ based on a carrier formed from cellulose and/or plastic materials by reaction of lauric acid and glycerol in the presence of a catalyst.
EFFECT: using the group of inventions enables improving the antiviral activity of the information carrier.
