SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of producing one or more desired chemical products selected from a group consisting of propene, isobutene, 1-butene, 2-butene and styrene, involving bringing a heterogeneous catalyst, containing a compound selected from a group consisting of B-nitride, B-carbide, Ti-boride, Ni-boride, Nb-boride, Si-nitride, Ti-nitride and Al-nitride, in contact with oxygen and one or more liquid or gaseous reagents selected from a group consisting of propane, n-butane, isobutane and ethylbenzene, wherein the heterogeneous catalyst catalyses oxidative dehydrogenation (ODG) of one or more liquid or gaseous reactants to form one or more desired chemical products.

EFFECT: technical result is providing an improved method and catalyst for oxidative dehydration of C3-C5 alkanes in corresponding olefins.
