FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical engineering, in particular to a method of producing a sorbent based on vegetable polymers, which are represented by sunflower husks. Method of producing sorption material based on vegetable polymers, which are sunflower husks, intended for extraction of ions of zinc, cadmium, lead and copper, at which sunflower husks are milled to particle size of 2 mm, treated with a solution of the enzyme preparation "CelloLux-A" at a weight ratio of 0.5–1.5:50, at pH 5.5–6.5, held in a water bath for 90–150 minutes at temperature of 45–55 °C, periodic mixing is carried out every 20 minutes for 1 minute, after which the spent enzyme solution is drained through a perforated container with a mesh size of not more than 1.5 mm, washed with running water until the washing water becomes transparent, the obtained sorption material is dried, for which it is laid out in a layer with thickness of 0.5 cm and is subjected to heating at temperature of 100±5 °C to moisture content of not more than 10±0.5%, then it is crushed with the help of a crusher and sieved through vibrating screens to obtain particles from 1.0 mm to 1.5 mm.

EFFECT: method described above enables to obtain material with high sorption capacity in relation to heavy metal ions, which is capable of biodegradation and is safe for the environment and provides a wider range of enterosorbents sorbing ions of zinc (Zn2+), cadmium (Cd2+), lead (Pb2+), copper (Cu2+).
