FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an arcing assembly for electrical distribution equipment. Method for elimination and limitation of damage caused by arcs formed on open wires in electrical distribution equipment involves use of arc inclination to displacement in direction from current source and towards wire tips. Arc-suppressor is placed above wire tips for arc gripping as it moves towards wire tips. Arc shape inside the arc-blower is brought into compliance with geometries intended for expansion and elongation of arc to such extent, when it can no longer be supported and extinctioned.
EFFECT: technical result is limitation of arc-forming effect in electric distribution equipment.
