FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for shear treatment of metal sheet used in automobiles, domestic electrical appliances, building structures, ships, bridges, construction equipment, at various factories etc. Cutting is carried out along the line which crosses the zone of welding of the processed part. Matrix, stopper and puncheon are used, having two ledges at its cutting edge. All or some part of welding zone of machined part is arranged between two puncheon projections.
EFFECT: result is providing cut surface having low residual stress and excellent surface properties, as well as longer service life of puncheon.
