SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to biotechnology and can be used in medical diagnostics and biochemical studies for quantitative detection of catecholamines and their metabolites in biological fluids. Disclosed are a test system and a method for rapid determination of low-molecular markers of neurotransmitter metabolism in biological fluid samples, as well as a method of producing a test system. Test system is a plate with chitosan film coated on the surface of the wells with immobilized peroxidase of plant origin of 0.5 to 1.5 mcm. Peroxidase is contained in amount of 2 to 16 pmol per 1 mm2 area of film, and chitosan - from 15 to 60 mg per 1 mm2 area of the film. Chitosan has molecular weight distribution of 50–220 kDa and degree of deacetylation of not less than 75 %. Method for rapid determination of catecholamines and metabolites thereof involves applying a sample of biological fluid on a well of a test system with subsequent introduction of hydrogen peroxide and a derivatizing agent with formation of fluorescent derivatives, excitation of fluorescence in the sample with recording of obtained signals.

EFFECT: invention enables to determine simultaneously several markers of neurotransmitter metabolism selected from noradrenaline, dopamine, epinephrine and their metabolites, selected from homovaniline and vanililmedal acids, in a large number of biological fluid samples with achievable reproducibility of the results of not less than 99 % and analysis time of up to 12,5 s per one sample.
