SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of control in autonomous vehicles. Method of controlling side-view mirrors in autonomous vehicles, wherein a first image of a first-way mirror of the first vehicle unfolded into a first position of the first-side view mirror is captured by a computer comprising a processor and memory of the second vehicle, wherein second vehicle is within range of mirror detection of lateral view of first vehicle to capture second image of side view mirror unfolded to second position. First and second images are analysed to determine the working state of the side view mirror, the computer checks whether the working state of the side view mirror is one of the following: stuck in first position, stuck in second position, stuck between first and second positions and can be turned to each of first and second positions and transmitted by computer operating state to display and/or remote computing device.
EFFECT: higher control for side-view mirror.
