FIELD: petroleum and gas industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves heating the reaction mixture at 60-70 C at stirring followed by condensation at 80-95 C and neutralization with sodium hydroxide. Reaction mixture is taken at the following ratio of components, wt.-%: lignosulfonate 94-95; formalin 2-3, and sulfuric acid 3-4. Lignosulfonate reagent exhibits the enhanced effect on filtration and structure-mechanical property of clay fluids. EFFECT: improved method of reagent producing. 1 tbl
