FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can be used to determine degree of individual resistance of divers to toxic effect of oxygen (TEO) by evaluating data obtained in determining renal functions. That is ensured by determining the renal functional activity index (RFAI), renal volumoregulatory activity index (RVAI) and renal calcium-uretic function index (RCFI) after carrying out of corresponding load tests during stay in a pressure chamber during session of oxygen barotherapy (OBT) with duration of 90 minutes at partial pressure of oxygen 0.25 MPa. That is followed by calculating a formula for determining the resistance of the divers to the toxic effect of oxygen (TEO) by renal function indicators by formula: TEO=0.33×RFAI+0.25×RVAI+0.19×RCFI; at stability value up to 1.5, a diver is referred to a TEO unstable group, from 1.51 to 2.5 – to a group of medium-stable, and 2.51 and more – to a group of highly resistant to TEO.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to comprehensively determine degree of individual stability of divers to TEO without complex diagnostic medical equipment.
