FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to condensed medium optics and can be used to determine optical surface constant of solid bodies capable of directing surface plasmon-polaritons (SPP). Interferometer has a source of collimated p-polarized monochromatic radiation, an element for converting radiation into a beam SPP, a solid-state sample with a flat face capable of directing SPP, SPP initial beam splitter in form of plane-parallel plate inclined at 45° to radiation incident plane adjoining its edge to face and oriented perpendicular thereto, fixed and movable flat mirrors adjoining the edge of the reflecting surface to the face oriented perpendicular thereto, a one-pixel photodetector arranged at the rib portion of the face illuminated by both secondary beams, and an information processing device.
EFFECT: higher accuracy.
