FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement of direction or intensity of magnetic fields. Method of measuring a constant magnetic field by measuring parameter appearing on plates capacitor from dielectric material equipped with two current-conducting plates with leads installed parallel to each other, where dielectric is composite, when placed in magnetic field, wherein is used a composite magnetic fluid with 10 % of particles from nanocrystalline magnetically soft material with high magnetic permeability (μ≥50,000) elongated shape and sizes lying in range of 1–100 mcm, capacitance measurement is carried out at frequency 1 MHz, and magnetic field value is determined by calibration curve or by known value characterizing condenser sensitivity.

EFFECT: high sensitivity and simple method of measuring a constant magnetic field.
