FIELD: defectoscopy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of technical diagnostics and can be used in the sphere of railway transport, namely for measurements of vertical load from wheel to rail at detection of defects of running gears of rolling stock. Method consists in the fact that during diagnostics of movable part passes measuring section, on which signals are recorded from strain gauges installed in zones of rail neck, in two measurement cross-sections of rail of each between sleepers span there determined are transverse forces, in the rail and by their difference there constantly calculated is vertical force acting from wheel to rails at passage between measuring sections.
EFFECT: increased statistical validity of measurements of vertical forces between wheel and rail during diagnostics of running gears of railway vehicles during their movement.
