SUBSTANCE: in some embodiments, the method of controlling an oral care appliance comprises an audio signal output device and a movable oral cleaning element driven by a motor, includes receiving a user instruction on the beginning of a cleaning sequence, reproducing by sound output device an audio instruction relating to oral cleaning. When the sound instruction relating to the oral cleaning is completed, the motor is actuated to actuate the oral cleansing element. Through a predetermined period of time after the use of the motor for actuating the oral cleansing element is started, the motor is actuated to stop actuation of the oral cleanser, and at least partially in response to the motor control to stop actuation of the oral cleansing element, reproduction is carried out by means of the audio signal output device of the audio recording containing praise.
