FIELD: oral care.
SUBSTANCE: device for oral care comprises a handle; a head comprising a cavity; multiple teeth cleaning elements connected to the head; hole in head, which connects cavity with ambient medium via fluid medium; first electrode located in cavity; a second electrode disposed in the cavity and spaced from the first electrode; and an electrical connection electrically connecting the first electrode and the second electrode to the power supply. At least one of the first electrode or the second electrode is a sacrificial electrode and passing current through the electrical connection causes release of ions by the sacrificial electrode.
EFFECT: invention provides an oral care appliance which can form ions in the head of the toothbrush.
