FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for controlling the position of blades of a blade system of a windmill. Method for controlling the blade position of a windmill blade system having a vertical axis of rotation, is characterized by that the blades are fixed with possibility of rotation on the shaft and are made with possibility of changing their position relative to their rotation axis so that on one side of the vertical axis of rotation of the blade system the blade is located perpendicular to the direction of air flow supplied to the blade system, and on the other side in parallel, provide blades turn for 90° at blades transition from one side of blade system relative to its rotation axis to another one by means of blade turning device. Shaft is made with possibility of structural connection to generator. Providing constant direction of air flow supplied to blade system relative to rotation axis of blade system by means of air flow control system.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at stable operation of wind-driven power plant at wide range of wind force and direction.
