SUBSTANCE: invention refers to pharmaceutical industry, particularly to an agent exhibiting immunomodulatory activity and a method for preparing it. Method for preparing the agent possessing immunomodulating activity consists in the fact that dry wild common chicory herbs are minced, extracted three times with ethyl alcohol, filtered, concentrated, purified with a suitable organic solvent and dried under certain conditions. Agent possesses immunomodulating activity.

EFFECT: agent obtained by the method described above has a high content of the sum of phenol compounds in terms of chicory acid – 8–10 wt%, and the immunomodulating activity of the obtained agent is combined with membrane stabilizing and antioxidant action.
