SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and immunology, particularly to a method for producing an immunogenic conjugate containing polysaccharide Streptococcus pneumoniae serotypes 10A, 22F or 33F, covalently bound to a carrier protein. Released capsular polysaccharide of serotype 10A, 22F or 33F is reacted with an oxidising agent representing sodium periodate or metaperiodate. Then, the oxidation reaction is quenched by adding a quenching agent which is a compound of formula where each of R¹ and R² is independently selected from H, methyl, ethyl, propyl or isopropyl. Obtained activated polysaccharide is mixed with a carrier protein and then with a reducing agent to form polysaccharide serotype 10A, 22F or 33F: a carrier protein.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain activated polysaccharides Streptococcus pneumoniae serotype 10A, 22F or 33F, having a controlled and stable molecular weight, and reduce variability of polysaccharide molecular weight from batch to batch during activation and subsequent conjugation to maintain stability of conjugate qualitative characteristics.
