SUBSTANCE: invention relates to receiving container (1) for pipette tips, which includes receiving box (3) and cover (4), which closes receiving opening (12) of receiving box (3) in its closed position. Cover (4) has standardized bearing surface and is made in form of adapter for receiving box (3). On cover (4) there is positioning device (25) with several positioning elements (26). Receiving box (3) rests with its bottom (7) on cover (4) and is oriented by means of positioning elements (26) relative to support surface specified by cover (4), being located in positioning position for automatic treatment of samples. Invention also relates to preparation of receiving container (1) for pipette tips. Cover of receiving container serves as adapter for support and accurate positioning of receiving box, which allows observing and performing standardized dimensions and allows to refuse additional thrust means as positioning stops.
EFFECT: container can be manufactured simply and economically with low consumption of material and can be used both for manual and for automatic processing of samples.
