SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a nucleating agent which is a filler with a treated surface, specifically calcium carbonate, the surface of which is treated with bicyclo[2.2.1]heptane-2,3-dicarboxylic acid, intended for alpha-nucleation of polyolefins, a method of producing a product, which is a filler with a treated surface, a master batch comprising a product which is a filler with a treated surface, a polyolefin composition containing a product which is a filler with a treated surface, an article containing a polyolefin composition, as well as use of a product which is a filler with a treated surface, as an alpha-nucleating agent for polyolefins.

EFFECT: said nucleating agent provides efficient alpha-nucleation of polyolefins when introduced in small amounts and provides improved mechanical properties of the plastic product.
