FIELD: ammunition; blasting operations.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is an explosive initiation apparatus (IA), comprising: a magnetic receiver, a configuration of which provides reception of a passing through the earth (TTE) magnetic communication signal displaying a command from a base station; an explosion initiation controller which is electrically connected to a magnetic receiver and whose configuration provides generation of response data in response to a command; and electromagnetic (EM) transmission system (ETS), electrically connected to the explosion initiation controller, the configuration of which provides transmission of response data for the base station using a TTE electromagnetic (EM) signal.
EFFECT: invention allows avoiding faults, monitoring the status and information on any errors, providing a more complex data stream, which includes information on the explosion product.
