FIELD: ammunition; blasting operations.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to initiation of explosives in open and underground mining, civil engineering and/or seismic exploration on land or in the ocean. Disclosed is a primer unit, comprising an initiator apparatus (IA) for initiating an explosion, an explosive apparatus with a light-sensitive explosive (LSE) having a reaction time of less than 1 millisecond connected to the IA, and an initiating explosive around the LSE, wherein the IA includes: a magnetic receiver, having a magnetometer, for receiving a magnetic communication signal through the ground by detecting a magnetic field; controller electrically connected to the magnetic receiver for processing the magnetic coupling signal in order to determine the explosion product command and the light source electrically connected to the controller, to generate a light beam in order to initiate a light-sensitive explosive (LSE) in accordance with said command. Explosive initiation system including multiple ignition units; an explosion controller for generating said instruction and a magnetic transmission system which is electrically connected to the explosion controller to receive a command and is configured to generate a magnetic communication signal which displays said command. Blasting method, including steps of receiving a magnetic communication signal through the ground by detecting a magnetic field using a magnetometer; magnetic communication signal is processed to determine a command for an initiator apparatus (IA) of an explosion product and a light beam is generated to initiate a light-sensitive explosive (LSE) in accordance with said command.

EFFECT: invention simplifies electronic systems of explosion initiation and increases their safety.
