SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction materials, specifically to additives used in making gypsum binder and articles based thereon with radioprotective properties. Organomineral modifier enables to create self-packing mixtures and use a semi-dry method of producing articles based on gypsum binder with molding method of their molding. Organomineral modifier for gypsum binding materials and radioprotective articles based thereon, which includes a hydraulic binder, an active mineral component, a plasticising additive and a setting time regulator, as an active mineral component, it contains metakaolin, as a plasticising additive - Odolit-K polycarboxylate ester, as a regulator of setting time - Best-SPl superplasticizer, and additionally contains Ethyl silicate-40 homogeneous mixture of oligoethoxysiloxanes and ground schungite at the following content of components, wt. %: Hydraulic binder 35.7–55.6, metakaolin 7.2–11.1, Odolit-K polycarboxylate ether 2.7–4.2, Best-SPl superplasticizer 0.6–1 homogeneous mixture of oligoethoxysiloxanes Ethyl silicate-40 0.2–0.3, ground schungite 27.8–53.6, wherein the degree of shungite grinding is 200–300 m2/kg, metakaolin hydraulic activity is not less than 1200 mg/g.

EFFECT: technical result is obtaining an organomineral modifier for low-quality semi-aqueous gypsum binder and articles based thereon, which increases their compressive strength, water resistance, as well as imparting radioprotective properties to them.
