Method for reducing crop contamination and herbicide inhibitory action when growing tobacco seedlings, comprising adding to nutrient mixture with optimally calculated content of main nutrients N₇₀P₆₀K₇₀ soil herbicide Command, CE (Clomazone, 480 g/l) in the rate of consumption of 0.01–0.02 ml/m² for 10–14 days before seeding with immediate closure, irrigation of the treated section in the absence of precipitation during the period from introduction to sowing in amount of 10–15 l of water per m² and adding Humic fertilizer Rostok in dose of 1 ml/m² 3–5 days before sowing seeds and twice in vegetating plants 2 and 4 weeks after sowing seeds with irrigation water at 1 l/m².

EFFECT: invention enables to reduce crop contamination and improves quality of tobacco seedlings, stimulates its immune potential and reduces mycopathogenic infection.
